get text

Purpose
To enter a string of text to be displayed as curves in the active window.

Usage
Click the get text button to activate it. In response to the prompt, type in the string of text and press <Enter>.

Comments
Text will not work in edit surface mode.
Fonts used are of Postcript type 1, and can be selected using the fonts button. This button will pop up a selection box from which a font can be chosen. See the text font databox in the solid construct menu.
